If you consider visiting Auschwitz Memorial you’ll need to know some specific details about this place. The Memorial of the former deadliest German concentration camp is located in the south of Poland – the city is called Oświęcim in Polish. By car it’s around 70 kilometres (1,5 hour of the way). If you choose the train instead, it’s 2,5 hour and you have to change the train for the tram in Oświęcim to reach the Memorial. There are also many opportunities to get there by bus.
From the German boarder there is around 370 kilometres to this place. By car it’s around 4 hours from Zgorzelec (Görlitz) if you travel by car.
